Townhome development well under way in North Georgia

* Development name: Heritage Woods Townhomes

* Status: 32 homes in a 92-unit neighborhood have been built. Four have been sold.

* Location: In Fort Oglethorpe off Cloud Springs Road, minutes from I-75.

* Prices: $112,000, $129,000 and $139,000

* Developer: Charlie Whitmire

* Builders: Sherman Smith with DreamTech Builders LLC and Darrell Baggett with Earthcraft LLC.

* Open House: Today from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

* Home features: Townhomes are single story with either one- or two-car garages; features include open floor plans, crown and decorative moulding; hardwood, carpet and tile throughout; fireplaces in living rooms; stainless steel appliances in kitchen; 10-foot ceilings; large master baths with separate shower and double vanities; large walk-in closets; patios and greenway behind townhomes.

* Other amenities: Heritage Woods is 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, minutes from I-75 and close to Battlefield Parkway; neighborhood features sidewalks, street lamps and wrought-iron mailboxes; manicured lawns and landscaping.
